About ReQuest Games

ReQuest Games is an indie game development project run by two students in Austria. We create strategic, systems-driven gaming experiences in Unreal Engine, with a strong focus on tactical decision-making, replayability, and satisfying long-term mastery.

We don’t limit ourselves to a single genre or theme. Any idea that makes it to the drawing board is fully supported and implemented to the best of our ability—an ability that improves daily as we continue developing games.

Deckfront

Deckfront is a roguelike tower defense game with deckbuilding mechanics, combining strategic planning, procedural generation, and high replayability.

In Deckfront, players must defend a city against endless waves of enemies that grow progressively stronger the longer they survive. Each run challenges players to adapt their strategy as enemy numbers, strength, and behaviors scale over time, ensuring constant pressure and decision-making.

To enhance replayability, the game features a seed-generated map system. Every run presents a new layout, and as players select higher difficulty levels, the map itself becomes more complex—introducing tighter paths, additional lanes, and tougher strategic constraints that demand smarter tower placement and deck usage.

Defense is built through a card-based deckbuilding system. Players use cards from their deck to place towers, deploy auxiliary structures, and activate supportive or tactical items across the map. Choosing which cards to include—and when to play them—is just as important as positioning, making deck synergy and long-term planning key to success.

Look-in

Right now, Deckfront is heading into the world of medieval fantasy! It has a new world and lore to cater to the gameplay. While it is still, in a classical sense, a tower defence game, we want the replayability and options available to players to be among the most advanced on the market! It's a big ask, but it's something we're going to work towards! We have lots of ideas for the game and come up with more at each meeting, but for now, we are focusing on improving the enemy and tower gameplay loop with the current changes that we want to make. This doesn't mean that we won't revisit them, though! Every feature that we develop will be primarily tested by willing gamers, and their feedback will influence our future decisions on which features to develop next.

Development Progress

Our next planned Release that showcases our progress is at the Kokorokon from the 14th-15th of February! Visitors can expect New Cards (such as Elemental Cards, New Tower Cards, Upgrade Cards and Supporter Buildings) as well as Bugfixes… that they won’t know were even bugged in the first place… whistle whistle

Depending on the Feedback, more features will be taken into consideration for our next Progress Showcase!
